Violet Honey was formed as a last minute act needed for a show at The Sealab in Rochester, NY. After being well received, the band decided to stick together and write more music. All members of the band have been heavily involved in the radio station at the University of Rochester, WRUR 88.5 and have been instrumental in a number of album recording projects for other bands including Khat House.
